SEAMLESS SERVICE AT SEA

DELIVERED EXPERT REPAIR IN THE BAHAMAS

Time is critical when keeping your yacht in top shape—that’s why we go the extra mile to get you back on the water fast. Recently, a client in Highborne Cay, Bahamas, needed urgent repairs to their Centek Marine-Delta T engine room ventilation control. Our technician and pilot took off from Ft. Lauderdale in one or two company aircraft, fully equipped for the job. After landing at Norman’s Cay, the captain met them, and they quickly transferred to the yacht via tender. Within hours, the repair was complete, and the crew was back on course. At Gillen Yacht Services, we specialize in fast, efficient service—no matter where your yacht takes you. Many clients are surprised at how cost-effective our remote service options can be. Whether you’re cruising the Bahamas or venturing elsewhere, we’re ready to deliver expert care wherever you need it.

RESTORING A CLASSIC

1978 Chris Craft Commander Flush Deck Motor Yacht

We’re thrilled to be working on a truly special project: the complete refit of a 1978 Chris Craft Commander Flush Deck Motor Yacht. The owner’s vision is to honor cherished memories and create a legacy boat for his family. Our team began with a full evaluation of every system, preserving the yacht’s classic style while upgrading key components. The Detroit Diesel 8V71 engines received a full overhaul, along with a new Centek Marine exhaust system. We then tackled the running gear with a new shaft, cutlass bearing, and hull repairs from a previous grounding. Moving topside, we modernized the AC, water heater, fire suppression, and electrical systems. With mechanical systems in top shape, the hull and bottom paint are complete, and we’re now focusing on the deck and superstructure. Inside, our carpenters are restoring leaky port windows and continuing the interior refit. This labor of love is nearing completion—stay tuned for more updates and photos!
