Feb 24, 2023 – Gillen Yacht Services, Inc, of Ft Lauderdale, Florida, Gillen Yacht Services (GYS) is excited to announce the promotion of Ralph O Hall to the position of President and Partner. Bringing thirty years of leadership experience and technical expertise in the marine industry, Ralph will oversee all day-to-day operations for the yacht repair and refit business. Founder, Dave Gillen Sr., will continue to serve as CEO and Technical Advisor providing strategic direction and technical guidance.
Ralph brings unparalleled industry experience with robust business acumen. Growing up on the Chesapeake Bay, Ralph was a third-generation boatyard owner, operator, and manager of his family’s 250-slip marina and boatyard. Serving in multiple capacities, Ralph learned the complexities of leading the operations of a large boatyard, including managing the service department and working directly with customers to exceed their boating needs.
Dave Gillen Sr. shared, “Since Ralph has joined the GYS team, he has led the charge for implementing new infrastructure to support the company’s expansion plans. In addition, he has negotiated new dealerships and has developed our workforce’s technical skills and abilities through continued education and training. Our new 15,000 square foot expansion in Palm Beach reinforces our commitment to the yacht market in South Florida.”
